Bring in your team

Inviting people needs Vaicoa Team. A free account and Vaicoa Pro have one seat.

A team shares everything Vaicoa watches: connected projects, monitored servers, uptime checks, alerts and the subscription. Bring your colleagues in so that everyone sees the same dashboard and gets the same alerts.

Team has five seats. A seat is a member or a pending invitation. For more, write to support@mitjamartini.com.

Invite a member

You need the Administrator role in the team.

1. In the portal, open the team menu and choose Team Settings. The page is My Team; Team Members shows how many seats are used.

2. Under Invite Team Members, enter the email address and choose the role: Administrator or Member. What each can do: Roles and permissions.

3. Choose Send Invitation. It appears under Pending Invitations and takes a seat until it is accepted or cancelled.

4. The invitee opens the link in the email and chooses Accept Invitation, after Log in to Accept or Create Account to Accept if they are signed out. They accept with the address you invited, and that address must be verified first. An account created from the invitation link counts as verified.

Under Pending Invitations, Resend Invitation sends the email again, and Cancel Invitation withdraws it and frees the seat. An invitee who already has an account finds open invitations under Pending Invitations in their team menu.

Switch teams in the app

When you belong to more than one team, the app shows one team at a time.

Tap the team name at the top of Dashboard, Resources or Costs and choose a team under Switch team, or use Settings → Team.

An iPhone still receives alerts from every team you have signed in to on it. Tapping one switches to its team. In the portal, use Switch Team in the team menu.

Work in several teams

You can administer one free team. Once it is on a paid plan, you can create more with Add Team in the portal’s team menu, for example one per customer. There is no limit on teams you are invited to.

Change a role or remove a member

On My Team, admins select a member’s name. Choose the role and Update Role, or Remove from Team and confirm. A removed member stops receiving the team’s alerts. Nobody can change their own role.

Leave a team

On My Team, select your own name, choose Leave Team and confirm. Leaving stops the team’s alerts on your devices. You leave in the portal; the app has no leave button.

The only administrator cannot leave. Make another member an administrator first.

Delete a team

Admins: on My Team, under Danger Zone, choose Delete Team, then I understand, permanently delete this team. This deletes the team and all its data, and cannot be undone.

Caution

Deleting a team also cancels its subscription, at once.
