Vaicoa for iPhone — help and support

The Vaicoa app for iPhone is free and shows your Hetzner Cloud projects read-only: status, resources, live charts and an estimate of this month’s costs. Without an account, your token stays on your device and goes only to Hetzner’s API. Vaicoa Pro and Vaicoa Team are optional subscriptions in the app.

First steps

1. In the Hetzner Console, open your project → Security → API tokens, and create a token with Read permission.
2. In the app, tap Add a Hetzner project, paste the token and give the project a name.
3. Without a token, tap Explore with sample data to look around a bundled example project.

Common questions

Is my token safe? On your device it is kept in the Keychain and sent only to Hetzner’s API. A project you connect to a team with Pro or Team is read by Vaicoa’s servers, which store its token encrypted. Use a read-only token: the app never needs to change anything, and it warns you when a token can write.

Can I use it on several devices? Yes. Turn on Settings → iCloud to sync your projects through your iCloud Keychain. It is off by default.

Why are the costs an estimate? The app computes them on your device from Hetzner’s list prices and your current resources. Your Hetzner invoice is the authority.

Widgets and Siri? Add the Vaicoa widget from the home screen, or ask Siri for the health of your projects. This month’s estimated costs are in the app.

Can the app change my servers? No. It is read-only by design; changes happen in the Hetzner Console.

Updates

Security updates for at least five years from the release of each major version (1.0, 2.0, …).
