Vaicoa: Hetzner Monitor

Privacy policy of the Vaicoa iPhone app

As of 28 October 2026. This policy covers the Vaicoa app for iPhone, version 1.0 and later. The privacy policy of mitjamartini.com covers this website.

Mitja Martini; the address is in the imprint. Contact: support@mitjamartini.com.

The app works on your device. It has no account and no server of ours. We receive no personal data from the app. It contains no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.

  • Your Hetzner API token (read-only, entered by you), kept in your device’s Keychain. The app sends it only to Hetzner’s API (api.hetzner.cloud) to read your projects. It never reaches us.
  • What Hetzner’s API returns: your servers, volumes, networks, prices and metrics. It is shown in the app and cached on your device, and it never leaves the device for our side.
  • Settings such as App Lock, kept on your device.

For the requests to its API, Hetzner Online GmbH is responsible for what it processes, under its own privacy policy and your contract with Hetzner.

If you turn on iCloud sync in the app’s settings, your tokens go to your iCloud Keychain and the project names and API addresses to your iCloud account, so your other devices with the same Apple Account can use them. Apple processes this data under its privacy policy. Turning the setting off copies everything back to the device and deletes the iCloud copies.

Widgets and Siri shortcuts read a summary that the app keeps on your device. Nothing is sent to us.

If you email us, for example from “Send feedback” in the app, we process your address and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Our email is hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft 365). We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Apple distributes the app. Apple’s privacy policy covers what Apple processes when you download or update it. The app contains no in-app purchases.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we hold no data from the app, a request usually concerns only correspondence. Write to support@mitjamartini.com.

If a later version of the app processes data differently, for example when it connects to a server you run yourself, this policy will say so before that version is released.
