Where to use the Vaicoa app

Vaicoa runs in two places: the iPhone app and the portal. The app shows your infrastructure; the portal is where you set up your account, your team and what Vaicoa watches.

In the app, a project you add stays on the device (free mode). Team admins can also connect it to their team, which needs Pro or Team. Many rows also depend on the plan, for example push notifications start with Pro: see Choose your setup.

  • Requirements: iOS 17 or later. iPhone only: there is no iPad layout and no Apple Watch app. Alert notifications appear on a paired Watch like any other notification.
  • Get it: from the App Store. It is free to download. Private customers buy Vaicoa Pro and Vaicoa Team in it, through Apple’s In-App Purchase, with one month free to start.
  • Sign-in: Settings → Sign in to Vaicoa, with email and password or Sign in with Apple where the app offers it. A two-factor code step also accepts recovery codes. Edit or create a free account on the web and Create a team on the web open the portal.
  • Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts: home-screen widgets (small, medium, large) and lock-screen widgets (circular, rectangular); Siri and Shortcuts. See Widgets, shortcuts and Siri.
  • iCloud: Sync projects via iCloud (off by default).
  • Crash reports: Share crash reports in Settings → Privacy.
  • App lock: Settings → Security → Require Face ID / passcode.
  • Delete account: Settings → Delete Account.

account.vaicoa.com is where you manage your account, your team and what Vaicoa watches. Links from the app sign you in to the portal as the account the app is using, with a one-time sign-in. You can sign in with your password or with a code sent by email. If you belong to more than one team, the team menu switches between them.

Members see the team dashboard and the project, server and check lists, and can leave the team. Pages marked “Admins only” do not appear for members. In the app, any member can add or remove checks and mute alerts, so the app allows more than the portal. All the details: Roles and permissions.
